GENICHESK. TAVRIA. Earlier we reported about the riots in Haiti, which were organized by local gangsters demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister. They seized almost the entire capital, because of which foreign diplomats had to leave the country, and several thousand local residents were forced to leave their homes.

Today, March 12, it became known that the Prime Minister Ariel Henry will resign. This is reported by The Guardian.

“The government that I am leading will resign immediately after the installation of [a transition] council,” Henry said. “I want to thank the Haitian people for the opportunity I had been granted. I’m asking all Haitians to remain calm and do everything they can for peace and stability to come back as fast as possible.”

Henry is currently in Puerto Rico. He could not return to the country because of the riots in the capital, as the gangsters also stormed the airport. Still, he is hopeful that he will be able to return home soon.
