GENICHESK. TAVRIA. NASA intends to send a team of four people to a 3D model of Mars for a year. Isolation for them will be guaranteed. This is reported by The Guardian.

NASA plans expeditions to Mars in the 2030s, but first it is necessary to test all systems and technologies on Earth. Mars Dune Alpha was created for this purpose, it is a 1,700 square foot area. At this location, volunteers will have to spend an entire year.

They will face various problems such as equipment shutdowns and failures, communication problems, lack of resources, and environmental stress. They will have to grow agricultural crops, work with robots, and even "go into space."

It is not yet known how much money the volunteers will receive, but the requirements for them have already been announced. NASA is looking for permanent U.S. residents between the ages of 30 and 55, non-smoking, healthy; engineers, mathematicians, biologists or physicists by major (they must have experience in these fields or 1,000 hours as a pilot).

The application deadline is April 2.
