<p><strong>GENICHESK. TAVRIA.</strong> The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) began in Astana with the signing of documents on the admission of Belarus into the organization, reports RIA Novosti. </p>

<p>"Dear heads of state, the decision on full membership of the Republic of Belarus in the SCO has been made," President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced.</p>

<p>The President of Kazakhstan noted that Belarus completed all the necessary procedures to obtain the status of a full member of the organization in in the shortest possible time.</p>
<p>After that, he congratulated President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.</p>
