GENICHESK. TAVRIA. Earlier we reported that 4,000 Haitian inmates escaped from prison after members of local gangs organized an attack on the correctional colony. The country declared a state of emergency and a curfew for three days, but this did not help stabilize the situation.

Al Jazeera reports that the government will extend the state of emergency to try to curb the gangsters, who have paralyzed life in the capital Port-au-Prince. Police have limited resources, so they are unable to stabilize the situation. In turn, criminals continue to attack police stations and other government offices at night.

Gangsters demand a change of government, so they organize riots in the capital. They are extremely dissatisfied with the policy of Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who is now in Puerto Rico. He was unable to return to the country from Kenya because the gangsters also attacked the international airport. He has not made any comment since then.
