Saldo: cholera outbreak in Kherson is linked to Kiev’s destruction of Kakhovskaya HPP
<p><strong>GENICHESK. TAVRIA.</strong> The outbreak of cholera on the right bank of the Dnieper is associated with flooding caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP) by the Ukrainian authorities, as well as neglect of sanitary norms, said the Governor of the Kherson Region Vladimir Saldo.</p>
<p>Saldo noted in a comment to RIA Novosti that measures were taken to disinfect and sanitize the area on the left bank, while no such measures were taken in the occupied territories after the tragedy at the Kakhovskaya HPP.</p>
<p>Among the key reasons for the cholera outbreak, the head of the region named the clogging of the Dnieper riverbed with the bodies of dead AFU soldiers, violations in the operation of water supply and treatment facilities, as well as the lack of sanitary control.</p>
